Learner Charter, Medical Form – What are they?

Some regular Settlement attendees have asked about some of our new forms and processes. Why do we have them? What are they for? Here is some helpful information.

Learner Charter

Our Learner Charter sets out what we expect from our learners.  It is our equivalent of the terms and conditions that you accept when you make a purchase.  It sets out our values and expectations so that we can provide a safe and respectful environment for you, other learners, our tutors and our staff.  Download the Learner Charter.

Please read the Charter carefully.  Please let us know if you need any form of support.  If you do not tell us, we may not realise you need some help.

If you do not meet the expectations set out in the Charter, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the Settlement.

Medical Form

You will need to complete a Medical Form for any course which involves physical exercise, for example, Tai Chi and Yoga.  The course details and the course confirmation email will state if you need to complete a form.  If you do, you must complete and return it to the Settlement Office three days before your course starts, otherwise you will not be allowed to attend the course. A form will be required for each course taken, even if your medical information has not changed.  Download the Medical Form.

This helps the tutor and Settlement know if you have a health condition and should any problem arise, the information will help us to take the appropriate action to keep you safe.

All information provided will be held confidentially.
