Making Books from Waste Materials
Sat 18 Jan 2025, 10:00 am - Sat 15 Feb 2025, 12:00 pm
In this five week course, we will explore making a range of different styles of books. This will include pamphlet and concertina style books, petal fold folios and a book of pockets using a sewn binding.
We will use waste materials such as newspaper, cardboard, packaging paper and scraps of wool/string. One book style will encourage you to use scrap prints/artwork or research notes/printouts that then can be kept in portable book format.
No previous experience required.
All materials/tools will be provided. You will be encouraged during the course to think how you can use your own ‘waste’ materials from home/work.
