Fun times for sewists and their sewing machine at any level. Complete beginners or long time stitchers … everyone is welcome to spend a Saturday morning with us, sewing and eating cake.
We will be offering a number of Pick and Mix workshops over the Summer.
Introduction to freehand machine embroidery using your sewing machine and a free motion embroidery foot.
We are exploring a coastal theme; to make bunting, a cushion cover or other project.
Create shapes and textures with this basic technique.

Customer Information: Bring along your sewing machine, power cord, instruction manual, all your bits and bobs… sewing equipment (scissors, pins etc)
* scraps of cotton fabric for applique
* black or brown thread
* any seaside related fabric to complete your bunting (how about pirate prints, seashells etc).

I’ve been a keen crafter from as long as I can remember but I’ve always enjoyed trying something new and a bit different. Appliqué is a great way to use up scraps and have fun with fabric.

I’m a passionate sewist with a background in garment technology in the fashion industry. I enjoy exploring and teaching processes and techniques and giving students confidence to achieve a professional finish.
