Chinese Beginners Plus

This course is for those who have a basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese, including Pinyin.
We’ll be extending your vocabulary, learning from everyday conversations, having fun practicing Chinese characters (good for mindfulness), reading simple Chinese books, and finding out about Chinese culture and customs.
By the end of the course, you should be able to get around when visiting Mandarin-speaking countries.

Name: Helena Hon
Bio: Helena previously taught art and English in both primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong following her teacher training. Helena loves languages; she speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin, has recently started to learn French, and has a degree in Japanese and Law from SOAS, University of London. She has over 10 years’ experience teaching both Cantonese and Mandarin in British private schools and weekend Chinese community schools, and she loves all things Japanese.
