Name: Komathy Cumarasamy
Bio: Komathy is Sri Lankan born and studied art up to degree level in my Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She now specialises in portraiture, figures, and modern/contemporary styles. She loves experimenting and is experienced at handling a variety of mediums, having formally studied colour mixing and skin-tone techniques at City Lit College, London. Komathy has undertaken several portrait commissions, and has developed her skills with other local projects. Komathy finds her art workshops at the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford particularly rewarding. She has been invited to exhibit at various private exhibitions within our local community and in 2021, one of her oil paintings was selected for inclusion in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. It was sold before the event opened to the public.
