Patchwork and Quilting Binding Techniques

Getting a smart finish on the edges of your quilt really makes a difference. And there is more than one way to bind a cat – woops, sorry, Quilt!!
Join me on this day to try out a variety of finishing techniques including binding, facing, piping, prairie points and so much more.
We will create examples of all the different types, so that you can choose the best finish for your next quilt – and not just stick with the first method you ever learnt.

Name: Sheena Roberts
Bio: Sheena holds a B.Ed., as well as the City & Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Patchwork and Quilting. She is a member of the Quilters’ Guild of Britain and Ireland, and their Modern and Contemporary Special Interest Groups, and a member of the Modern Quilt Guild. Sheena Roberts has been sewing since she was tiny and creating patchwork quilts for almost as long. She didn’t start off being a confident seamstress, as all but thrown out of class at school, but she had someone who did not give up on her – and that has influenced her to “pass that forward”.
